Deck and rig preparation: remove or secure biminis, enclosures, sails, antennas, and tenders; lash wheels/helm; lock hatches; seal lockers; add fenders and fender boards; rig chafe gear; and minimize windage. For boats remaining in-water, we configure spiderweb line plans to distribute loads and adjust for surge, where conditions permit.
Systems and safety: top off batteries; verify bilge pumps, switches, and float sensors; inspect seacocks and through-hulls; secure fuel and ventilation; stow loose gear; and label shore power for quick disconnect. We photograph serials, engine hours, and pre-storm condition for insurance and warranty documentation.
After the storm, we perform condition checks, photo documentation, and damage triage. For hauled vessels, we inspect blocking, stands, and tie-downs before any movement. We assist with claims packages, coordinate repairs, and manage relaunch scheduling once waterways and yards are cleared to operate.
